On Friday, January 27, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a governmental decree on creation of the Russian Fund of development of information technologies. The main goal of the project is promotion of domestic software.
The draft regulation was introduced by the Ministry of communications pursuant to the plan of actions of the government aimed at ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of Russia in 2016.
This Fund will support the development and promotion of Russian software. In addition, it is designed to support scientific, scientifically-technical, innovative activity and development of innovation infrastructure in the sphere of information and communication technologies, the website of”Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
