Member of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov commented on the statement of the candidate in presidents of France Francois Fillon on Russia, which he announced in an interview with the French press. Among other things, the presidential candidate of France stated that “the Russian people is impossible to bend the sanctions.”
“Fillon: it is naive to believe that the people of Russia can be bent with the help of sanctions. It must be said Merkel and gripped by delusions of sanctions on U.S. senators,” commented Pushkov.
Earlier it became known that Francois Fillon gave an interview to the newspaper Monde, where he explained his attitude to Russia and its role in the future of Europe. In his opinion, the restoration of good relations to the Russian Federation is a strategically important issue for the whole EU.
