Biologists have filed an appeal against the award of the first degree in theology
A group of scientists has written to the Ministry of education and science, and also appropriate dissertation Council appeal the decision of the joint dissertation Council D 999.073.04 on awarding Paul Kondinskogo of a scientific degree of candidate of theology (according to the opinion of the Council), academic degree of candidate of philosophical Sciences (according to abstract).

The authors of the document note that is stated in the abstract and the text of the thesis the academic degree does not correspond to the extent specified in documents created after the protection (a list of the members of the dissertation Council who attended the meeting with the thesis and conclusion of the dissertation Council). On 1 June, when there was protection, there was no normative documents concerning the possibility of obtaining the degree “candidate of theology”, the authors note.
In addition, it is reported that data on results of public protection has not been published on the Internet within ten days from the date of the meeting of the dissertation Council, and the creation time of the uploaded documents are false.
Finally, in the work of the academic Council had violated the principle of publicity: the meeting has not been admitted not only persons wishing to participate in the discussion, but also journalists.
According to appellants, these facts speak about the many violations of the current regulation on the Council for defense of dissertations.
