For the adoption of the document titled “Law on combating the enemies of America through sanctions,” voted 98 senators, opposed by only two. Prior to that, he was approved by the house of representatives. Now the document will be sent for signature to the President of the United States Donald Trump, who has the right to veto it.
In the case of its signing the American companies and individuals will not be allowed to lend to Russian banks for more than 14 days (now this term is 90 days). In addition, the document is limited to the term of financing of Russian oil and gas companies.
