Crimea began to receive gas from the Kuban

A new gas pipeline from the Krasnodar Krai to the Crimea in the framework of the commissioning work began delivery of gas. On Sunday, January 8, RIA Novosti said a member of the energy Committee of the state Duma, the former first Vice-Premier of the Crimean government Mikhail Sheremet.

“Gas in the system. Enough gas pressure is sufficient, so I think that in the near future, in a short time, “stroygazmontazh” will enter the pipeline in normal operation,” — said Sheremet.

He added that the previously entered schedules of restriction of gas supply to large industrial enterprises of the Republic has been practically applied. “The system of gas is enough to fully cover consumption of our Peninsula,” — said the MP.

On 27 December, the start of the gas supply to the Crimea with mainland Russia gave President Vladimir Putin. “On the basis of the incoming gas to Crimea will be built in the near future, in 2017-2018, two power plants with a capacity of 470 megawatts, which will more than cover all current needs,” — said the head of state.

In turn, the CEO of the company “Chernomorneftegaz” Igor Shabanov said that the main purpose of pipeline is to supply fuel for the power plant under construction in Simferopol and Sevastopol. The volume of gas to be delivered there is 1.6 billion cubic meters.

The total length of the pipeline is 359 kilometers, including a two-line crossing through the island of Tuzla and the Kerch Strait, and the outlet to Simferopol.
