Most of Russians know that the post of Chairman of the state Duma of the 7th convocation is Vyacheslav Volodin. These are the results of the study of public opinion on legislative activities of the lower house of the current convocation, held expert-analytical center of the Russian Academy of national economy and public administration (Ranepa) and presented on Friday, TASS reported. The survey was conducted from 10 to 17 July in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation among 1.2 million people.
As told journalists the head of expert-analytical center of Russian Academy of Nikolay Kalmykov, in the section “Recognition of the Chairman of the state Duma” the first place is Vyacheslav Volodin. “Volodin tremendous recognition. 83% of respondents know that he holds the position of Chairman of the state Duma,” – said Kalmykov.
According to him, 7% of respondents still believe that the speaker of the state Duma is its former Chairman Sergey Naryshkin. “Perhaps they have not yet adjusted, perhaps not all the information fully received, it happens,” said Kalmykov, adding that another 10% of respondents believe the Chairman of the lower house of the other political figures.
“Call a completely different shape all the way to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, individual MPs and public figures. Maybe that’s the audience, which fully lacks media coverage or other modern media such almost a third,” – said Kalmykov.
The activities of the Chairman, the majority estimates either positively or neutrally. “Neutral assessments dominated. If you consider that was in the Duma and difficult periods, to even such an assessment is a merit and a serious job, especially in such a short time” – said Kalmykov. According to him, among those who neutrally assesses the performance of the speaker, people who do not have enough information about the activities of Parliament.
Respondents were also asked to name the three MPs who cause them confidence. “It’s more than a dozen people, which we most often celebrate. Of course, this is the faction leaders, is the speaker, it’s politicians, whom we all know” – said Kalmykov.
