The action plan for the development of the volunteer movement in Russia up to 2020 was developed with the participation of the Public chamber (OP) of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti in the press service of the OP.
Preparation of the plan was carried out jointly with the Agency of strategic initiatives with the active participation of the Association of volunteer centres and Repatriate in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“The plan will gradually create favorable conditions for the millions of volunteers in our country. In this work it is planned to involve a Federal office, a great role is reserved to the constituent entities of Russia. It is important to create effective policies to support socially useful activities… to remove the main barriers in the perception of this phenomenon and to expand the opportunity for volunteers to participate in the development sectors of health, culture, social protection, sports, education, environment,” — said the member of the Commission on youth, volunteerism and Patriotic education of the OP of the Russian Federation Artem Metelev.
In the document, in particular, the possible cross-sectoral measures aimed at the development of volunteering and volunteering, and proposes measures to improve mechanisms of cooperation of the volunteer the volunteer organizations with the public authorities and interested organizations.
“We held public hearings in most regions, involved more than 2 thousand people, the key experts in the field of volunteerism. In fact, it is the result of the work of the whole country,” added Metelev, quoted by the press service of the chamber.
The action plan will last until 2020.
