Lavrov spoke about the security zone de-escalation in Syria
HAMBURG, Aug 7 — RIA Novosti. Security around the area of de-escalation in Syria will have to provide the military police of the Russian Federation in coordination with the U.S. and Jordan, said the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a press conference on the sidelines of the summit of “Big twenty” (G20) in Hamburg.
“At first safety around the area of de-escalation will be provided with the use of forces and means of the Russian military police, in coordination with the Americans and the Jordanians. And most importantly, this document clearly reaffirmed the commitment of Russia, Jordan and the United States to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic” — Lavrov said.
