The French leader took part in the exercise, simulating the launch of nuclear missiles, transfers “Russian service Bi-bi-si”. The President stressed the importance of national nuclear deterrent forces, describing them as a cornerstone of security.
July 3 message to the both chambers of the French Parliament, macron said that in the coming years, the country’s army is waiting for the updating of strategic and tactical plan, reported TASS. Speaking about the need to continue the fight against terrorism, the President pointed out the importance of modernizing the armed forces.
France is a member of the nuclear club — one of the five countries, which under the terms of the Treaty on the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons are “allowed” to have such. The nuclear Arsenal of the state is about 300 warheads.
