The Russian Orthodox Church has received from the Investigative Committee of Russia permission to publish the results of examinations on the case concerning the murder of the Royal family. This was told RIA Novosti Bishop mark Tikhon Shevkunov.
“We will conduct interviews with experts and publish their articles”, — he added. The materials will appear on the portal “Orthodoxy.ru”.
The investigation of the shooting of the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, occurred in 1918, was renewed in 2015 at the initiative of the Church. During the investigation appointed examination to establish the authenticity of the remains of members of the Romanov dynasty, moved from the place of burial near Yekaterinburg in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
The authenticity of the remains of Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna experts have confirmed through the research of DNA samples taken from the fragments of the jaw.
Currently, according to the Agency, it remains to complete the study of the remains of Prince Alexei and Princess Maria.
