The investigative Committee of Russia offers to provide investigators and investigators-criminologists deferment of military service to 27 years, a draft Federal law published on Tuesday on the portal of projects of normative acts.
“The draft Federal law “On amendments to the Federal law “On military duty and military service” provides for the inclusion of employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the list of Russian citizens, which, under certain conditions, the delay from an appeal on military service”, – stated in the published explanatory Memorandum to the bill.
As explained in SK, the delay will be an additional guarantee for the formation of qualified personnel reserve. The bill also States that the system of dismissal of employees of SK in connection with the conscription adversely affect the activities of the Department.
In SK consider that a deferment from the army investigators will not lead to “scarcity of military resources”, as the number of employees SK the Russian Federation of military age, according to the Agency, is 1,116 thousand, and the total number of conscripts in Russia – 152 thousand.
In addition, deferment is available to the citizens who have arrived on service in bodies of internal Affairs, State fire service, establishments and bodies criminally-Executive system, customs bodies of the Russian Federation and in the troops of Regardie. “The lack in the Federal law provisions governing the provision of similar guarantees for the citizens arriving on service in the RF IC, puts them in an unequal position compared to citizens of the Russian Federation serving in other law enforcement bodies” – the document says.
