The victory in the presidential elections in Iran, incumbent President Hassan Rouhani will contribute to the fruitful development of relations with Russia. This opinion was expressed by the Deputy of the state Duma Leonid Ogul, his words leads RIA Novosti.
“Hassan Rouhani during his presidency, he advocated dialogue with Russia. When it had reached many of the agreements between our States. Sure, in case of his victory the relations between our countries will develop fruitfully in the future” — said the Deputy.

Ogul is also noted that in case of victory of Rowhani, Iran will pursue a more conservative policy in connection with the foreign policy situation.
Earlier media reports with reference to unofficial data reported that Rouhani is leading in the elections with a large margin: he gained more than 21 million votes and the closest rival, the conservative Ebrahim Raisi, a half times less. At that time there were about four million uncounted ballots.
