Putin and macron held the first telephone conversation
MOSCOW, may 18 — RIA Novosti. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has held his first telephone conversation with his new French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
As reported a press-service of the Kremlin, the two leaders agreed to work together on pressing international issues, and expressed willingness to develop friendly relations.
“Both sides expressed readiness to develop the traditionally friendly Russian-French relations in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres”, — stated in the message.
Putin and macron stressed the importance of further cooperation on the Ukrainian crisis settlement within the “Normandy format” on the basis of the Minsk agreements.
The parties also discussed the possibility of upcoming personal contacts.
