TASS: the investigation into the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Furgal has been completed final charges were filed. This is reported by TASS with reference to a law enforcement source.
The former head of the region is charged with fraud and leadership of a criminal community. Furgal's defense did not comment on the information due to a non-disclosure agreement on the progress of the investigation.
Furgal's lawyer Dmitry Dovgy told RIA Novosti that from December 2, he and his client will begin to get acquainted with the case materials
Earlier, on November 24, the former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory was presented with a new charge of organizing a criminal community and seven episodes of fraud. He does not admit his guilt.
According to investigators, Furgal created a criminal group that attempted the murder of Alexander Smolsky from 2004 to 2005, and also dealt with businessmen Yevgeny Zorey and Oleg Bulatov. The motive for the crimes was Furgal's desire to expand his business.
