The prosecutor's office demanded 13 billion rubles from the arrested founder of “Rolf”

The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit against the founder of the car dealer “Rolf” for 13 billion rubles company “Rolf” Sergei Petrov, arrested in absentia in a criminal case on the withdrawal of four billion rubles abroad. This is reported by Kommersant.

The claim contains an amount of 12.85 billion rubles, and the car dealer will also be the co-defendant in the case. The Khimki city court accepted the prosecution's claim for production, Interfax specifies. In the framework of this case, on November 24, the court arrested Rolf's property for the amount of the claim.

Rolfa expressed their disagreement with the demand of the prosecutor's office and intend to defend their position in court. Dealer centers of the company are operating normally. The reasons for filing the claim were not disclosed.

The first meeting is scheduled for December 14, adds TASS.

In the summer of 2019, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case against Petrov and top managers of the company, accusing them of withdrawal of funds abroad. Then the court arrested the businessman in absentia and put him on the international wanted list. Petrov lives in Austria. He declared about the ordered nature of the criminal prosecution, denying his guilt in the crime imputed to him.
