Robert Lewandowski congratulated Lionel Messi on winning the seventh Ballon d'Or PSG Lionel Messi with the Ballon d'Or. The statement was made by the player on his Twitter.
He also stressed that no player can win an individual award without strong teammates and loyal fans. Lewandowski also thanked everyone for their support.
The presentation of the Golden Ball took place on November 29 in Paris. Lewandowski lost 33 points to Messi in the vote for the award. Chelsea and Italy midfielder Jorginho took third place in the contenders' dispute.
Lewandowski scored 64 goals in 2021. He also became the champion of Germany and won the country's Super Cup.
