A previously convicted Russian was sentenced to 20 years for the murder of two women and for rape and attempted rape, before that he had already served time for abuse. This was reported to “Lente.ru” in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) in the region.
According to the investigation, in early 2019, a 33-year-old man was released from the colony, arrived in Vikhorevka, Irkutsk region, where he began to live with his friend by correspondence, which he started while still in prison. But he quickly got tired of the measured, law-abiding lifestyle.
In the fall of 2019, he gave a lift to a drunk woman, whom he found on the highway, by car. The man brought her to the garage, where they continued to drink, but in the end she refused to sleep with a new acquaintance, then he raped and killed her, and dismembered her body and threw it into the river. The perpetrator not only cleaned out the garage using chemicals, but also changed the car to get rid of possible evidence.
In the spring of 2020, he found himself an identical victim – a lonely drunk woman walking along the highway. But the acquaintance did not work out, the woman was frightened by the signs of attention. The offender took his victim to the outskirts of the city, tried to rape, eventually killed and hid the body by the river.
During the search for the missing, the police found a video in which the criminal's car got into the frame. After that, he was quickly found, during interrogation the offender not only confessed to this crime, but also to the previous one – then evidence against him was never found.
The killer told investigators that he was motivated by the desire to rape. The women had to be killed to cover up the crimes. Having examined these circumstances, the Irkutsk Regional Court gave the defendant 20 years in a special regime colony.
