The Russians noticed and rescued a wounded peregrine falcon from the Red Data Book

The Russians who saw the rarest bird transmitted the relevant information to Rosprirodnadzor. The falcon was then taken to the veterinary clinic. Currently, the predator is at the Animal Health Center in Tambov.
According to the ornithological ring installed for the bird on the territory of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug back in 2013, experts found that the falcon had lived in the wild for eight years.
According to veterinarian Anton Modnov, the bird was seriously injured and emaciated, but outwardly it looked healthy. She has a ruptured ligament, the knee joint needs a long time to recover. For this reason, the peregrine falcon flew to the village for easy prey and was noticed by people.
“In the future, he will not be able to fully hunt (…) The bird, of course, cannot be released into nature,” he said specialist.
