The popularity of right-hand drive cars in Russia is explained

Right-hand drive cars became popular because of the quality and choice of models – Primorsky deputy

due to the fact that Japanese manufacturers offer a large selection of models. Alexey Kozitsky, a former navigator who transported Japanese cars in the 1990s and now a Primorsky deputy, spoke about this within the framework of the Russian Fast and Furious project.

“These are not only very comfortable, safe cars with very powerful breaking engines. This is a huge number of auxiliary machines that help to live. There are practically no two identical Japanese cars, they are all very different: this is a huge number of minibuses, which are convenient to drive to the country, and trucks of different models, “Kozitsky explained.

According to him, Japanese cars help Russians to build their own houses within the framework of the Far Eastern Hectare program, which allows each resident of the country to receive one hectare of land in the Far East. “Now we have such an opportunity – to buy cars at a low cost and equip our land here. Over time, of course, we will learn how to make cars – God forbid, no worse than those of our partner colleagues across the Sea of Japan, then it will be possible to replace them on the sly, ”reasoned Kozitsky.

Special project“ Russian Fast and Furious ” is dedicated to the life of motorists in the Far East and the unusual automotive culture that began to form in the region back in Soviet times. Already in the 1980s, the first Japanese cars began to be delivered to Primorye. Over time, a huge car market emerged in Vladivostok, which reached its peak in the 1990s. The active development of the automotive culture influenced the formation of the interests of young Russians and contributed to the appearance of the first Russian drifters in the region.
