Promising main battle tank (MBT) T-14 “Armata”

VLADIVOSTOK, February 19. /TASS/. Tank “Armata” in its technical characteristics superior to the Israeli, American and European tanks, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin in an interview to the program “Sunday evening” with Vladimir Solovyov on the TV channel “Russia 1”.
“The tanks we have now certainly is an advantage, because tank in Nizhny Tagil, today, of course, in its technical characteristics more than American and Israeli, I’m not talking about European tanks”, – he said.
“Armata” heavy tracked unified platform on which to create the main tank, infantry fighting vehicle, armored personnel carriers and other armored vehicles. It is expected that mass production of new tanks could begin in 2018. T-14 is created on the platform “Armata”, was first shown publicly at the Victory parade in Moscow on 9 may 2015. The new combat vehicle has received a fully digital equipment, a desert tower, an isolated armored capsule for the crew.
