At the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, said Russia’s recognition of the documents of the DNI and LC
Moscow. 19 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — the Recognition by Russia of passports and other documents of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk national republics contrary to the objectives of the Minsk process on the settlement of the situation in the East of Ukraine, stated at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
“Russian recognition of documents from a separatist “republics” is disturbing and is not compatible with the agreed objectives of Minsk,” — said in a microblog of the us Embassy tweeted on Sunday.

The Embassy also noted that they are concerned with fighting and the use of jet systems of volley fire BM-21 “Grad”. “Urge the withdrawal of heavy weapons to achieve a lasting ceasefire in Donbass”, — stated in the message.
On the eve of Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the recognition in the Russian Federation of documents and license plates of vehicles issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons permanently residing on the territories of separate districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine”.
As stated in the document, the decision was made “in order to protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, guided by the universally recognized principles and norms of international humanitarian law.”
