The main prize of the Berlin film festival received the Hungarian film On Body and Soul (“body and soul”), about the life and love of the workers of a slaughterhouse in Budapest. Removed the film Ildiko Enedi. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Silver bear” at the festival was the Finnish film Director Aki Kaurismaki, who a few days ago announced his retirement. At the Berlinale he presented his film The Other Side of Hope (“the Other side of hope”).
The best recognized actress Kim Min-hee from South Korea, played in the film of Hong sang-soo, and best actor – the Austrian Georg Friedrich, starring in the ribbon, the German Director Thomas Arslan.
The prize for best screenplay was awarded to A Fantastic Woman (“a Fantastic woman”) and Chilean Sebastian Lelio.
The jury 67-th Berlin film festival was headed by Director Paul Verhoeven. He helped six people, including an American actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and Mexican actor Diego Luna.
