The Minister of foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siarto said that the EU sanctions against Russia are useless, adding that in the end they led to missed opportunities for exports worth billions of dollars. He said this in an interview with Reuters.
“Sanctions are useless — this is the position of Hungary,” — said Siyyarto.
According to the diplomat, Hungary lost $6.5 billion, having lost export opportunities as a result of anti-Russian sanctions. Szijjártó said that Budapest supports the lifting of sanctions against Russia and does not regard it as a threat.
Earlier it was reported that supporters of lifting anti-Russian sanctions in the Belgian Parliament intend to re-submit for consideration by colleagues a resolution on the suspension of restrictive measures against Moscow.
