One region of Russia predicted a record flow of tourists

Tourist flow to Crimea in 2022 may reach record levels This opinion was expressed by Anatoly Tarasenko, a member of the expert council under the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Development of Tourism Infrastructure, on the air of Sputnik in Crimea, writes RIA Novosti.

The expert predicted that in quantitative terms, the holiday season of 2022 could better than the previous one, since there is already a huge demand, including postponed, among Russians for this Black Sea direction.

So, Tarasenko explained that the government is currently considering the possibility of extending the deferral until the end of 2022 tour operators on tours postponed due to the pandemic last year – this will mainly affect outbound travelers, but among them there are those who “postponed” their vacation in Russia (including in the Crimea). According to the specialist, the cashback program, which stimulates the demand for domestic tourism, also influences the popularization of the region.

“I believe that, taking into account all the restrictions that currently exist in the world and on the territory of the Russian Federation, it is much easier and more understandable to have a rest in your country, “Tarasenko concluded.

Earlier in November, it was reported that domestic tourists massively rushed to rest in one of the regions of Russia – in the Crimea. It was noted that the level of booking accommodation facilities for the New Year holidays on the peninsula is on average 60 percent, and in the most popular family resort complexes, about 90 percent of the room stock has been purchased.
