ATOR: demand for tours to Cuba among Russians in November increased by 20 percent

Cuba among Russian travelers after the lifting of coronavirus restrictions in the country from November 15. This became known to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

“The simplification of antiquated protocols for entering Cuba increased the dynamics of sales in the direction of 10 to 20 percent,” – said the experts and reminded that in early November, the Cuban authorities abolished the travel ban and quarantine for independent tourists. In addition, the republic approved the entry of vaccinated vacationers with any Russian vaccine without additional research.

Tour market participants noted that vouchers to the island during the winter holidays are in high demand, but “last minute” tours for this period should not be expected.

Earlier in November, Russian tour operators said that the easing of coronavirus restrictions in Cuba would attract a large number of travelers. They believe that tour sales will grow by at least 10-15 percent.
