Specialists engaged in the development and production of screens for Samsung technology division called the invention Flex OLED. The record-breaking ultra-strong screen is covered with a UTG protective layer, which guarantees 200 thousand folds of the display without loss of quality. According to experts, this will be enough for about five years of using a folding smartphone.
The created display also has a folding radius of about 1.4 millimeters. According to the developers of the technology, this makes it possible to simplify the design and reduce the cost of production of the screen. Also, in this case, when folding the device, minimal pressure is achieved on the main display units, which tend to fail. The described screen is planned to be used in folding smartphones of the future and other devices.
