Tretyak spoke about alarming signals from the NHL about the participation of players in the Olympics

Vladislav Tretyak on the participation of NHL players in the Olympics: alarms are coming in

There are alarms coming from the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2022 Olympics. RIA Novosti was told about this by the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR) Vladislav Tretyak.

“God grant that the NHL players come to Beijing. There are a lot of patients now, matches are postponed, so there are many alarming signals. I also know that the NHL players' union is not very happy with the rules of staying in China, ”said Tretyak. He added that if things continue in the same spirit, the Games may be left without representatives of the league.

In October, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that the league could ban hockey players from participating in the Olympics. This is due to a possible aggravation of the situation with the coronavirus pandemic.

In early September, the organization officially announced that it would allow players to play at the Games in Beijing. The competition will take place in February.
