The investigation suspected the doctor that he, with the help of his subordinates, destroyed the COVID-19 vaccine and issued fictitious vaccination certificates to some patients. According to preliminary data, about 50 people could have received fake QR codes.

The data on the beginning of investigative actions were also confirmed by the Ministry of Health of the Sakhalin Region. The department also initiated its own check on what happened.

Earlier, State Duma deputy, first deputy chairman of the committee on information policy, information technology and communications Sergei Boyarsky said that it was necessary to make test purchases, grab it red-handed and start criminal cases to scammers selling fake coronavirus vaccination certificates. In his opinion, sites need to fight against cybercriminals who offer fake information.
