Ukrainian energy suppliers to resume electricity imports from Belarus from November 21
Ukrainian energy suppliers intend to resume electricity imports from Belarus on November 21. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the European Network of Systemic Transmission Operators (ENTSO-E).
Supplies with a capacity of 415 megawatt-hours will be carried out continuously for 23 hours on Sunday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus reported that the supply of electricity to Ukraine would stop from November 18. According to the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua, supplies stopped on the morning of November 17, immediately after the emergency shutdown of the Belarusian NPP unit. The first power unit of the station was disconnected from the network after the automation was triggered. Diagnostics was carried out, the radiation background is normal.
On November 8, it was reported that Belarus refused to sell electricity to Ukraine, since November Belenergo will not be supplied on the basis of previously concluded framework contracts.
