Russia is ready to participate in a number of commercial projects in Afghanistan. This was stated by the special envoy of the Russian president for Afghanistan, the head of the second department of Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zamir Kabulov on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, TASS reports.

According to him, Moscow has no plans to “lay eyes” on Afghan mineral wealth … At the same time, the diplomat noted that there are resources in Afghanistan. “Probably, over time, all this will work for the interests of the Afghan people and the state as a whole,” Kabulov emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that Russia would soon send urgent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya stressed that Moscow welcomes the well-established interaction with local authorities and the operational actions taken by the organization in this direction.
