Tour operators: despite the rise in prices, travel packages abroad for the New Year are almost sold out

So, despite the rise in price by up to 50 percent, the vouchers were practically sold out. Representatives of the Intourist company noted that many airlines no longer have free seats on regular flights abroad, and some hotels in Turkey and Egypt have stopped accepting reservations.

The press service of Anex Tour told about the lack of seats on flights from Moscow to Egypt departing on December 29 and January 1. According to Tez Tour, the volume of bookings for New Year's tours is eight times higher than last year's figures.

Egypt, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico and the Maldives are especially popular with travelers. Among domestic destinations, there is a high demand for Sochi, St. Petersburg, Veliky Ustyug, Kazan, Sheregesh, Crimea and Caucasian Mineral Waters.

Previously, analysts of the online service Tutu.ru concluded that Russian tourists they decided to massively celebrate the New Year in three cities of the country – Sochi, Simferopol and Kaliningrad. The largest number of flights is scheduled for December 28-30. At the same time, the share of those who wanted to go on a trip on their own, without vouchers, decreased by seven percent compared to last year.
