EMERCOM: fires in Russian hospitals occur due to emergency operation of electrical networks

The department stressed that over the past five years, an increase in the number of fires. The careless handling of fire was also called the cause of fires in Russian medical institutions.
Recently, there have been several resonant episodes in Russia associated with fires in medical institutions.
For example, in early October in Kirov as a result of a fire in an infectious diseases hospital, two people were killed. Then in the regional Ministry of Health, the likely cause of the fire was the actions of the patient in whose ward there was a fire.
Even earlier, a fire occurred in the department for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection in the city of Liski, Voronezh Region. As a result of the fire, one person died, another 31 were evacuated to the adjacent building. The fire started at night and was extinguished two hours later.
In the spring of this year, nurses carried patients out of the pulmonary ward of the Pskov city hospital, where the fire occurred.
