Peskov: Shoigu informed Putin about the fulfillment of tasks during air patrols with China performing tasks during joint patrolling with the PRC over the waters of the Japan and East China Seas. This was announced by the representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
The report was presented by the Minister of Defense during the meeting of the head of state with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council. It is specified that the flight duration was over ten hours.
“The Su-35S aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces provided fighter escort for strategic bombers. The aircraft were controlled in the air from the A-50U radar patrol and guidance aircraft, ”Peskov noted. According to him, no violations of the airspace of foreign states were recorded.
Earlier, Shoigu said that Russia is increasing the share of promising aircraft in aviation purchases. The matter concerns the creation of strategic, military transport and operational-tactical aircraft, the minister specified.
