In Yakutia, a Russian who killed his neighbor was sentenced to seven and a half years of strict regime 
In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the regime sentenced a 26-year-old Russian who killed a neighbor. This is reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to the investigation, on May 2, a drunk 26-year-old resident of the Verkhoyansk region went to visit his mother. During the conversation, the woman said that a few months ago she was insulted and hit by a man living in the neighborhood. The angry young man hurried to his neighbor and, when he opened the door, punched him in the face. The Russian fell, after which the convict kicked him to death.
Having committed the reprisal, the young man fled the scene of the crime. He was detained later when the body of the deceased was found. The TFR opened a criminal case under article 111 (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The convict confessed to the crime. During the investigation, he also cooperated with the investigation.
Earlier in October, it was reported that in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a Russian who stood up for a woman was sentenced to six and a half years in a maximum security colony, who beat her offender to death.
