The tragedy of an extra animal on the shore of the lake heaps of dead and still living bleak. In her opinion, the reason for the mass death and release of fish onto land was water pollution. Cox added that neither the gulls nor the crows ate the fish, which may indicate that it is toxic.
The ecologist sent photographs of the bodies to the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, whose representative went to the scene for investigations, but the results of his work are still unknown.
Cox added that pollution can affect not only fish: if predatory pikes eat poisoned fish, and then otters eat poisoned pike, then a large number of different animals will be threatened .
Earlier it was reported that on the beaches of the English metropolitan area Teesside, located between the counties of Durham and North Yorkshire, found thousands of mysteriously washed ashore living and dead sea creatures. Presumably, the cause of death was water pollution.
