“Kommersant”: a lawsuit was filed against the former Moscow region prosecutor Tombulov for the seizure of assets on the confiscation of property and the seizure of assets, mainly land plots in the amount of 750 million rubles is being considered in the Simonovsky District Court of Moscow, Kommersant reports.
The defendant is the main one of the 11 defendants, the first deputy prosecutor general Anatoly Razinkin filed a lawsuit in the spring of 2021, hearings on the anti-corruption law violation began a few days ago.
The investigation accuses Tombulov of taking bribes at the head of the group in the form of land plots for refusing to prosecute the accused, during checks stole their property, and also participated in illegal arms trafficking.
In the period from 2000 to 2015, the defendant held the position of an investigator of the Lyubertsy city prosecutor's office, deputy prosecutor, then headed it. In 2017, he worked as an investigator for especially important cases in the Moscow Region Directorate, from May 2017 to November 2018 – Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the ICR in Lyubertsy.
Tombulov officially reported only on his salary, for 18 years he and his wife earned 12 million rubles. At the same time, he received more than 250 land plots in the Moscow region, registered with dummies and relatives, and two of his watches seized during a search, Breguet and Vacheron Constantin, were valued at more than four million rubles.
Previously Minister of Culture of Crimea Arina Novoselskaya was suspected of taking a bribe in the amount of 25 million rubles. According to the investigation, in 2018, the official received such an amount from the owner of Meander LLC, promising general patronage during the construction of the Crimean State Center for Children's Theatrical Arts. Novoselskaya was detained. She was charged under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe on an especially large scale”).
