RIA Novosti: The State Department knows about the participation of an American in the assassination attempt on Ukrainian Minister Leshchenko Agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko and are closely following the situation, RIA Novosti responded to the State Department.
“We are serious about our obligations to provide assistance to American citizens abroad and are closely monitoring the situation,” the source said agency, adding that for reasons of confidentiality, the department does not have further comments.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko almost burst into tears during a press conference at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. He admitted that he found out about an attempt on his life that was being prepared shortly before meeting with journalists. Throughout his speech, the Minister of Agrarian Policy spoke incoherently, trying to cope with emotions, and almost shed tears.
On November 17, a meeting of customers and a “hired killer” was held at the restaurant, to whom an amount of 20 thousand dollars (more than 1 , 4 million rubles). It was planned that after that the American would leave Ukraine, and the “killer” would eliminate the minister, but the suspects were detained. Now they face life imprisonment.
