Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny discussed the creation of unmanned aircraft groups with the head of the Turkish company

Kiev discussed with Ankara the creation of a working group for unmanned aircraft in the Ukrainian army. This was announced on Facebook by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny following a meeting with the head of the Turkish company Baykar Makina, Khaluk Bayraktar.

According to the commander, Bayraktar drones have demonstrated their effectiveness in including during their use in Donbass. “Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to build up the tactics and methodology of their combat use to contain Russian aggression and protect the interests of Ukraine,” he said.

Zaluzhny added that the Turkish company intends to continue production of the new generation of unmanned aerial vehicles Akinci ( “Akyndzhi”) with Ukrainian engines.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said that the country would purchase a batch of Bayraktar attack drones for the needs of the country's armed forces.

The situation in Donbass escalated on October 26. For the first time, the Ukrainian armed forces used the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drone in battle.
