The Pentagon is again worried about the actions of Russia near the borders of Ukraine

US Defense Secretary Austin on the actions of the Russian Federation near the borders of Ukraine: behavior causes concern

The Pentagon again became worried about the actions of Russia near the borders of Ukraine, as well as the tests of the Russian Federation in space. This was stated at a briefing by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, quoted by TASS.

He was asked about the activity attributed to the Russian Armed Forces near the borders of Ukraine, as well as recent tests, during which an inoperative Russian spacecraft was successfully hit.

“We continue to observe Russian behavior that is of concern to us,” Austin replied.

He added that the US will continue to urge Russia to act responsibly and to ensure greater transparency.

On November 16, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the US military continues to observe unusual Russian military activity near the border with Ukraine.

Recently, the US has announced an increase in the number of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border. The Kremlin denies the reports. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the information that Russia allegedly transferred its tanks to the border does not correspond to reality and is a throw-in.
