Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly has been introduced in the Russian region

The Kaliningrad Region introduced compulsory COVID-19 vaccination for people over 60 years old for local seniors. This is reported in the decree of the chief sanitary doctor of the region, Elena Babura. It is published on its website by the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the document, mandatory vaccination will affect citizens with diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, as well as cardiovascular pathologies.

According to the regional operational headquarters for the control of coronavirus , on Tuesday, November 16, the Kaliningrad region received 579,234 sets of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Earlier, similar measures were introduced by the authorities of the Kirov region. The region was obliged to vaccinate citizens living in social service organizations.
