In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 there will be no politics

GSC Game World explained the lack of politics in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

In the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. there will be no reflection of any events from the real world. This was announced in the official Discord channel of the project by the moderator under the nickname McCulkin.

Answering users' questions, McCulkin noted that the new game will not have any connection with real events and with the political agenda. “Our game universe is fictional, so no political events from our world will be present in the game,” the author explained. Also, the representative of the studio GSC Game World stressed that in the games of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and previously practically no real events were reflected.

The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is expected on April 28, 2022. The game will appear on PC, it will also be a temporary exclusive for Xbox Series X/S and will be available with a Game Pass subscription from day one.

In July, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 were accused of disrespect for Ukrainian players. In particular, journalist Sergei Korshunov, in an article for the UNIAN agency, noted that the game's trailer was presented entirely in Russian. In June, Ukrainians criticized the “pro-Russian” subtitle of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
