Senator Pushkov: Poland automatically opposes everything related to Russia

Federation Council member Alexei Pushkov criticized Poland's Russophobic initiatives, adding that they are not supported even at the European level. Thus, in an interview with the newspaper “Vzglyad”, he assessed the call of the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Piotr Glinsky to exclude Russia from international organizations.

The senator stressed that Warsaw is automatically opposed to everything connected with Russia, therefore Glinsky's statement will be assessed as another attack of “anti-Russian hysteria”. He clarified that this is a separate call from the most radical wing of the ruling elite, which reflects an inadequate perception of events and tries to turn a local crisis into a global problem. initiatives, they are all aimed at destruction and confrontation. Therefore, such calls are perceived as an emotional outburst dictated by the specifics of the psychology of the Polish elite and the historical heritage that Poland still lives on, ”added Pushkov.

According to him, Europe does not express solidarity with Polish sentiments. Moreover, the senator is confident that Russia will not be expelled from the UN Security Council, and Glinsky did not name specific international organizations from which Russian representatives should be expelled.

Earlier, Pyotr Glinsky spoke in favor of increasing pressure from the world community on Moscow and Minsk. In addition, he proposed to exclude Russia and Belarus from many international organizations, as well as sports important for these countries.
