Churadze explained that patients with COVID-19 often show a bacterial infection, but antibiotics should not be prescribed until this stage. In addition, taking antibiotics without an indication increases the flora's resistance to it.
“An antibiotic should be prescribed only according to the doctor's indications, in a sufficient dose and for a sufficiently long period of time,” the specialist emphasized.
The medic also explained for what symptoms of coronavirus it is necessary to seek help from a doctor. He recalled that the most reliable method to reduce the likelihood of contracting COVID-19 is vaccination.
