The court chose a preventive measure for the former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

The Podolsk court of Kiev ordered the ex-head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Tupitskiy, who was dismissed by Zelensky, to pay the bail

KSU) Alexander Tupitsky, who is accused of bribing a witness and giving deliberately false testimony, in the form of bail in the amount of 45 thousand hryvnia (about 125 thousand rubles). This was reported by the press service of the court.

According to the decision, Tupitsky, who was suspended from work by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, also returned his passport and was allowed to attend the sessions of the Constitutional Court.

October 27 last of the year, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine blocked the law on electronic declaration of income of officials, and also deprived the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NABU) of a number of key powers. The president did not recognize these decisions, a constitutional crisis began in the country.

Then Tupitsky was accused of committing bribery. According to the investigation, the head of the KSU gave the head of the accounting service an unlawful instruction to use his personal key with a qualified electronic signature to interfere with the work of the treasury system.

On December 29, 2020, Zelensky signed a decree dismissing Tupitsky from the post of head of the Constitutional Court. In July 2021, the Supreme Court of Ukraine canceled a presidential decree depriving the current head of the Tupitskiy Constitutional Court of the right to be in its composition. In response, the Office of the Ukrainian leader accused the body of sabotaging judicial reform and threatened with consequences.
