Robots will soon appear in large quantities in Russia

Sergey Litvinov, LANIT: robots are entering the mass market due to cheaper components

The Russian market of robotics will grow rapidly years. Sergey Litvinov, head of the center of competence of big data and artificial intelligence of the LANIT group of companies, spoke about this to Lente.ru within the framework of the CyberReality project. Robots are becoming more affordable due to lower manufacturing costs, he said.

“Robots are already entering the mass market, which was caused not only by the demand for the technology itself, but also by the cheaper components,” Litvinov said. – An additional driver is the development of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as fifth-generation communication networks. Therefore, it is not surprising that more and more new players are entering the robotics market. ”

Litvinov predicted that soon robots will play a structure-forming role in Russian organizations – they will deeply integrate into the digital and business processes of the company, interacting with the real world of IT systems. At the same time, business representatives see a real economic benefit in the emergence of robots.

The decrease in the cost of robots and the development of technologies have led to the fact that now they can be used where it was previously impossible or simply unprofitable. Among the areas in which active development can be expected in the near future, there are logistics, monitoring, as well as all areas where face-to-face interaction with people is required.

“More and more robotic solutions related to management are appearing on the Russian market and monitoring of various technological processes. They bring business a very understandable and easily quantifiable effect, “Litvinov concluded.

The CyberReality project is dedicated to how high technologies are changing the lives of Russians and humanity as a whole. He talks about how developments that seemed fantastic a few years ago are now providing safety, helping people in everyday life, saving lives, expanding the horizons of people with disabilities and caring for the elderly.
