Kiev agreed with Paris and Berlin to “demotivate Russia from aggressive actions.” This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba following the talks in Brussels, the broadcast was conducted on Facebook of the Foreign Ministry.

The meeting with the Foreign Ministers of France and Germany Jean-Yves le Drian and Heiko Maas took place on a French initiative. “We agreed that communication with the Russian Federation will be carried out in order to demotivate it from any aggressive actions,” Kuleba stressed.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added that the ministers discussed the security situation in Ukraine and the latest actions of Russia … He noted that his Western colleagues assured him that there would be consequences for Moscow in the event of a “large-scale military operation” against Kiev.

Earlier, the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov met with the US Charge d'Affaires in the republic Kristina Queen. During the talks, the parties discussed the aggravation of the situation in the “temporarily occupied territories” of Ukraine and on its border and agreed to closely coordinate measures to reduce the level of escalation in Donbass.
