The prosecutor's office began an investigation into the explosion at NLMK in Lipetsk

The Lipetsk Region Prosecutor's Office has begun an investigation into an explosion at NLMK's coal warehouse plant (NLMK) in Lipetsk. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“The prosecutor of the Lipetsk Levoberezhny District has left for the scene. During the inspection, a legal assessment will be given to the circumstances of the incident, including in terms of compliance with industrial safety requirements, ”the court department said.

The investigation was also started in the Investigative Committee, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

On November 14, it was reported that an explosion occurred in one of NLMK's coal workshops. As a result, the roof collapsed along the entire perimeter of the building – this is two thousand square meters. According to preliminary data, the explosion of coal dust could have been the cause of the fire. It could be caused by an electrical malfunction that triggered an electrical spark, or a discharge of static electricity.
