Iraq plans to return its citizens to their homeland from the Polish-Belarusian border

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has planned to return to their homeland refugees trying to get to Europe through Belarus trying to break into the territory of the European Union through the Polish-Belarusian border. TASS writes about this with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic.

It is reported that the first export flight is scheduled for Thursday, November 18. The Iraqi Foreign Ministry noted that those who decide to voluntarily return to their homeland will be able to use it. “We cannot force citizens to return to Iraq by force,” the ministry noted.

On November 12, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced the termination of direct flights with Belarus against the background of the situation with migrants on the border with Poland.

< p> The flow of migrants from Belarus to the EU has grown sharply after President Alexander Lukashenko, against the backdrop of yet another aggravation of relations with the West, threatened to weaken control over the border. For several days, thousands of migrants have been trying to get to Poland. The EU blames official Minsk for the current situation and threatens to introduce new sanctions against the Belarusian regime.
