The State Duma responded to an article about a dangerous Russian compromising material on the United States

Deputy Chepa on an article in the WSJ about Russian compromising on the United States: extremely dangerous and shaky positions elite. He told RIA Novosti about this.

According to him, Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs of the United States and has never tried to do so. The parliamentarian noted that he does not know what kind of compromising material there is on the Americans, but stressed that Moscow does not build relations between countries on such grounds. He also called such statements short-sighted. These are extremely dangerous and shaky positions, the deputy stressed.

In addition, Chepa said that such statements are part of an internal struggle between various political parties and clans in the United States. He summed up that attempts to play the “Moscow card” in this context are wrong.

Earlier in the WSJ, an article appeared that Russia has compromising evidence against the US political elite. Journalist Holman Jenkins Jr. drew attention to the actions of the head of the FBI, James Comey, during the election campaign between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, which was allegedly guided by Russian intelligence. “Apparently, he was trying to protect the future Clinton administration by building one bizarre decision on top of another, he reopened the Hillary case right before Election Day, which led to the undecided vote going over to Trump's side,” the columnist wrote. The author also stressed that all US presidents, starting with George W. Bush, sought to make friends with Putin.
