State Duma deputies discussed whether to cancel the New Year holidays in Russia

In turn, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party Yaroslav Nilov noted that he would not initiate such a bill, the deputy from “Fair Russia” Anatoly Wasserman added that canceling the holidays is useless. p>

“Employees, deprived of the planned rest and planned entertainment, will work carelessly at best,” Wasserman emphasized.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers determined the weekend of residents of Russia in 2022. Weekends on January 1 and 2, Saturday and Sunday, respectively, coinciding with non-working days, are postponed to May 3 and 10. New Year's holidays will last ten days. May holidays next year await citizens from April 30 to May 3 and from May 7 to 10, that is, four days in each time interval.
